RBS specializes in earthworks, demolitions, drilling and controlled or selective primary and secondary, non-conventional blasting or breaking and excavation of hard rock or concrete in sensitive or challenging civil and mining environments.

Autostem™ cartridges are non-detonating, self-stemming rock breaking cartridges that are developed by Non-Detonating Solutions (Pty) Ltd. The Company has a long history in the development of innovative non-detonating rock breaking solutions for mining, civil and quarrying works. The AutoStem™ cartridge was released to market in 2013, as NDS’s most advanced rock breaking solution for deep level, and hard rock, UG or Surface mining and Civil environments. AutoStem™ Cartridges, by virtue of its non-detonating performance characteristic offer numerous benefits over conventional explosives in certain applications. In this regard, AutoStem™ Products do not create a shockwave or produce toxins, hence are suitable for use in vibration sensitive areas and in areas of low ventilation. AutoStem™ Products are also self stemming meaning the speed and ease of use allow for improvements in cycle times and broad blasting efficiencies. BLAST OPTIMIZATION
This focuses on customers’ unique requirements and the impact blasting would have on the environment. Safety, as always, is the primary objective. In order to optimize blasting outcomes, Rock Breaking Systems has respective tools and methodologies specifically designed to make scientific and informed decisions around blast performance assessment. The active loading system enables real time information pertaining to blasting parameters, for example: condition of blast hole, types of explosive loaded, quantity of explosives loaded, etc. This information is stored in a database for future analysis, comparison and fine tuning of blast inputs and results.
